projectOPEN was conceived as a resource for homeless everywhere. Starting in Santa Monica, the map indexes services available to homeless and shows routes to get there using public transport. On the back of the map, there is a list of relevant laws in an effort to ensure that criminalization for a minor offense isn't an impediment to reintegration. projectOPEN received an Adobe Design Achievement award as well as an AIGA cause/affect award in 2009.
